Real impact, powered by tempeh
At Tempeh today, every batch of tempeh supports a fairer, more inclusive food system. As a trusted, scalable producer of fermented plant protein in India, our mission is to nourish people and empower communities.
Not just protein,
but a better food system
Empowering women through local food production

Our MFUs (Micro Fermentation Units) are run by women, often single mothers, in rural or low-income areas. They gain more than income:
- Safe, flexible jobs
- Training in food safety, entrepreneurship and personal growth
- Ownership and pride in their work
Nutrition for the next generation

We work with NGOs, schools and Midday Meal programs to supply tempeh for school meals in India, giving children access to:
- Premium vegetarian protein
- Gut-friendly probiotics
- Fibre, B12 and iron
- All in a format that fits tight nutrition budgets. This is tempeh for health, not hype.
Fair farming and sustainable sourcing

Our soybeans come directly from smallholder farmers in India, who receive fair prices through transparent supply chains. This model supports:
- Sustainable protein production in India
- Ethical, traceable sourcing
- Long-term community partnerships
“Think veg protein. Think beyond paneer. Think tempeh.”
Why it matters
- Decentralised food production India needs
- Clean-label, affordable plant-based food India can trust
- A solution for brands looking for veg, low fat, low carb foods
- Proven track record in tempeh production India, from patty to cube
